Pip Millett returns with her first taster of new music this year in the form of “Ride With Me”. Pip asserts herself with effortless grace on this latest single, cutting ties from relationships that no longer serve her. Sultry tones and her timeless vocals are paired with an intoxicating beat produced by Charlie Perry (Jorja Smith, Olivia Dean, Maverick Sabre) to create a soundscape that makes for a seriously addictive bop.

Pip says: “‘Ride With Me’ is about leaving behind bad friendships. People often find it difficult to apologise for their wrongs which makes it difficult to sustain friendships.”

“Ride With Me” is accompanied by a KC LOCKE (Pa Salieu, Mahalia, AJ Tracey + more) directed music video and premiered on The FADER last night. Stylised like a short film which, it’s set in a dark and familiar world, a touch of magic is added as Pip’s vintage car takes flight. She heads for the moon, leaving the stresses of society behind to cruise through the clouds, contemplate and stare at the stars.

Her effortless performance on COLORS Berlin with her debut ‘Make Me Cry’ has meanwhile racked up almost 5 million views, and with the likes of Jorja Smith calling her an artistic muse, her sold-out UK tour early this year saw Pip defining herself as a thrillingly potent and compelling artist, able to balance mainstream appeal on BBC R1 with critical appreciation from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs, Benji B and Gilles Peterson.
